At Clontarf, opposite The Spit, a great dog friendly beach, before fish and chips at Manly.

Great off leash fenced dog areas, a dip in the Lane Cove River, a walk along the foreshore, a lovely walk through the industrial and residential streets.

Barangaroo

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that the “Missing Link” at Barangaroo was opened, so we headed in to the city, excited to walk from Darling Harbour, past the new casino, all the way to Barangaroo Point.
Sadly, their definition of the missing link being opened and ours, differs. Some of the link is open, but until the new Metro station is completed, she’s not open.
We took this pic which is part of what’s been opened up. It’s been well done.
Walking from Wynyard to Barangaroo via the Wynyard (rail) link. Not keen on escalators!

Thanks to my sons for this find.
And well done Inner West Council – Marrickville Golf Club closes the first fairway each Sunday afternoon – beers and dogs on the green. Nice!
This video shows the scene 🙂

Old world charm!

At Bayview, on Pittwater, is a beach and spit extending towards the Newport Arms Hotel.
On any given sunny weekend day, there you’ll find hundreds of dogs, either on the beach, oval or swimming.
What a sight!

This weekend we went for a walk through the grounds of our local uni, where we studied in the late 70s and early 80s.
We went for a walk through the uni itself, as well as a lovely off-leash wander through the carparks out the back.
Ahh, memories!

Just like I remember it. Brutal.

Old meets new.

Reminded me of the Jewish memorial in Berlin.

Ah, the old subterranean pathway to the back of the uni

Memories

Getting ready for O-Week

The old return slots

Sleep pods – they were not here in 1979!

Zzzzzz
Petersham Bowling Club

What to do with a bowling club when the area changes character and the bowlo is no longer viable? Turn it into a community asset. Barefoot bowls, drinks, families, cricket, balls and dogs and picnics.

Lots of families, with and without their dogs

Petersham Park – gorgeous

Queens Park is enormous, and a generous chunk of the park is an off-leash area.
An adjoining cafe is dog friendly as well.

We didn’t let her off the lead because the park was unfenced and those other dogs 500m away were just too tempting!

Great cafe beside the park

Great cafe beside the park

Nice area for a walk as well
Tuncurry Agility Park

We were on holiday at Forster, about 4 hours north of Sydney.
Tuncurry is the town across the other side of the lake entrance.
We took Indie to the Beach Street Reserve off-lead area… it has a dog agility area!
Indie isn’t very agile!
The Sackville Hotel

The Sackville Hotel, on Darling St Rozelle heading towards Balmain peninsula, is very dog friendly.
A great spot to go to escape the rain!
Dogs are welcome in every single area of the pub.
