What to do? Go with the given name (Lynne St) or what Lynne is known by (Charlie Close near Wet ‘n Wild, Sydney or Charlie St at Middleton Grange). In the end we settled for Lynne St, Hornsby, which we walked with friends Tracie and Mal.
Like many streets with a given person’s name, Lynne St is pretty short, as evidenced by the panorama I took using the Google St view app.
It’s often not until you walk around streets that you realise where you are in relation to other locations you know well – like the Golf Driving Range at Thorneigh we could see (in the pic below.)
Trent Road, North Rocks

Trent Rd runs into an industrial area at North Rocks. Bailey enjoyed a run through the bush at the end of the street, quiet on a Saturday afternoon.
I think it might be a bit busier on Sunday… the largest church compound we have ever seen is at the end of the road. Saesoon Presbyterian Church is a massive beast… hectares of land, thousands of square metres of buildings and car parks.

Julie is my brother Geoff’s wife.
Some welcome rain over the long weekend didn’t dampen our spirits. We parked the car near Julie St and walked towards Macquarie University along the path that follows Shrimpton Creek.
Breakie at a cafe (who’d have thought a dog would be keen for pickled turnip?!) and we made it back without needing to use the umbrellas.
Bummer! Bailey St, a funky little street that runs between Newtown and Enmore, doesn’t have a sign! Disappointing!
(Bailey is the dog BTW!)
It’s not far from The Courthouse Hotel though, so that’s a good thing!

Too beautiful today not to go for a walk – 24 degrees with a blue sky and no breeze.
We met my oldest sister Annie and her husband Stephen (yet to be walked) for breakfast at The Incinerator at Willoughby and then walked Ann St.
A catch-up with my brother Geoff (and Julie and Georgia)
Walked past an old friend’s place as well as where Catherine once lived.
Lovely day.
