This coffee shop, perhaps an old pub?, has changed its name a few times… The Old Rosebud and Rozelle Espresso in the past.
Week 1
Travelling along Darling St from Victoria Rd, the first cafe on the southern side is C’est Bon. It’s the start of us having a coffee in every cafe on the peninsular.
A nice day to sit outside.
We got chatting to a local who was able to steer Robyn to a possible local book club and both of us to a local community centre.
First coffee of this exercise, so, so far, best coffee in Balmain!
Balmoral in Scotland is definitely on a list somewhere.
In the meantime, this will have to do – Balmoral Cl at Mount Sheridan, in the southern suburbs of Cairns in FNQ
We’d love to go to Gibraltar, the British city at the southern tip of Spain facing Africa.
I want to see the Rock of Gibraltar, but until then, Gibraltar Rd in Bowral will have to do.
It’ll cost a fortune to get the dog there…

Next time we’re in England at Christmas time, keen to see a rugby match.
Until then, Twickenham Cl in Normanhurst will have to do.
We missed out on visiting the Balkans because of Covid in 2020.
We’ve been looking forward to visiting ever since – so after 2 years it was great to get the chance to duck over for Sunday morning.
Riga Ave and Latvia Ave, Greenacre.
We’ve never been to Spain, but we’re keen to go, especially to Seville and surrounds.
The birthplace of flamenco, and famous for its mix of Islamic and Catholic architectural styles.
In the meantime, Seville St at Lane Cove will have to do!
Palermo

Palermo, one of the main cities in Sicily. We’re looking forward to visiting in June this year, but in the meantime, Palermo Cl in Allambie Heights will have to do.
We visited England (well, London really) but next time we go to the UK we’re keen to get up to Scotland.
In the meantime, Edinburgh Rd in Castlecrag will have to do.
Last time we were in England (and the only time!), we didn’t really do much outside the city of London.
Next time we visit, we’re keen to visit the university city of Cambridge, a couple of hours north.
In the meantime, Cambridge St in Epping will have to do.
