Great beer.

A visit in the middle of the early 2022 COVID lock down.

Brew Ha Ha Coffee roaster in Lilyfield in the Inner West.

Great coffee, but what a shame – this poor bugger couldn’t find staff willing to work so the kitchen is closed. He says it’s too easy to claim job keeper and not work. 😦

Artisan Italian pasteries and cakes.

Yum!

Free public transport in Sydney over Easter, so we took the chance to travel on the light rail from Circular Quay to Randwick, then back towards central to go to Reuben Hills cafe for a coffee and cake.

Over the Easter holidays we camped at Albury and while there did a day trip to Corowa.

The old flour mill has been turned into a whisky distiller and chocolatier. Well worth a visit.

Look, it can’t always be about alcohol!

So this weekend we visited a local artisan French baker in Ryde.

Coco Cannelle in North Ryde.

Just like being in France, and if the queue out the door to buy on a Saturday morning is any indication, everything they have here is pretty special!

On the edge of Rhodes industrial area, Buffalo Vale Distillery produces hand-made small batch craft spirits.

Weird name, but it started on the banks of Buffalo Creek, near Gladesville.
They make whiskey, gin and other spirits.

Over the Easter holiday period we visited the Victorian High Country.

We stopped one day for lunch at the Bright Brewery. Locally brewed beer, locally sourced produce.

Fantastic, and dog friendly 🙂

Sauce Brewing Co is an independent microbrewery in Sydney’s inner-west.

A great choice of different craft beers, and a lovely place to sit and enjoy a beer on a weekend afternoon.

We went there with one of our sons – he assures us he’ll shout “next time.”
